A UK based group for citizens of Deltans in diaspora, Delta Forces United – Diaspora (DFU-D) has announced that it would be supporting Festus Keyamo as their candidate for the Senate in the upcoming bye-election for Delta Central Senatorial District once INEC gives the go ahead for the elections.
Delta Forces United – Diaspora, recently held an event entitled; “An audience with Festus Keyamo” on Sunday, August 4, 2013. The event was attended by, APC leaders in the United Kingdom, Delta community leaders in the UK and key Delta state political pressure groups – Delta State Forum (DSF) and Liberate-Delta Peoples Movement, amongst others.
Delta Forces United members as well as attendees were very pleased with the presentation made by Festus Keyamo. The DFU members concluded that the vast experience of Festus Keyamo in the legal sector stands him in good stead to occupy the office of Senator – Delta Central Senatorial District above all other known prospective candidates.
The Chairman of DFU-D, Mr. Alloysius Oyeye said that “We are indeed delighted to put forward an experienced and proven candidate who would uphold the rule of law and advance the interest of his constituent”.
They also noted that Keyamo has been working closely with his community to advance their cause and promote their interest in many ways. They encouraged other groups in Delta State not to be lured by moneybags but to support Festus Keyamo with his sterling qualities of Boldness, courage and integrity.
